I mostly like the simplicity of the design; no possible way to mix up polarity, ease of use, and a solid mount for the batts.
Thats true, but the latch mechanism would pretty difficult (not to mention not very cost effective) to make. I think perhaps something like a toolbox or airlid for a car has and use bullet connectors instead. Maybe have the lipo case make in a relatively universal size so people couple just use there existing lipo packs and just adapt them to the case? The latch idea I was refering to is just a notch on the top of the front or side of the pack and a latch that catches it and flips down, like alot of the plastic toolboxes use.

Oh, and Serum was working on a really simple, yet effective design quite a while back. Can't remember exactly how it worked though.

There was a thread for it with drawings and everything. Not sure if he actually build one though. Dunno what happened to it, iirc serum had some thoughts to put 'em for sale in here or something.. Can anybody find that thread? I tried to find it but nothing, maybe it was on the Temp forum what was here sometime ago?

Not sure to be honest. I thought he had started a new thread about it, but I couldn't find it. Maybe it was in a current thread on something else?
