Shortening leads on Castle/Neu motor - 03.07.2009, 11:52 PM

Hey all, I just installed a MMM 2200 combo in my E Revo and was wondering if it was possible to shorten the leads on the motor safely. I have been searching around on here for a definite answer on the subject but haven't been able to find one thus far.

I have heard people say in the past that its not a great idea to shorten the leads on these types of motors.. is that just a load of garbage or does it hold some truth?

Last but not least, if I were to shorten them down is it possible to have new leads installed on the motor down the road if I were to put it in another vehicle that required longer leads again?

Thanks in advance guys! I know you will get me going in the right direction here.
