Here is a couple of thoughts for you.

I was looking at buying a Kyosho ST-R Truggy to convert. I asked the guy selling it to give me the width and he told jsut about 17.5 inches.

Due to the size of the wheels on a truggy, you will probably need to do a "scaled" look. If you use the Ford 150 body (very narrow) the wheels will be sticking out yet will not have a "monster truck" look because they would be scale look in size.

Most sedan bodies (for a rally look) are 15.5 inches in width, the Pajero body is 16 inches (perfect size for a emaxx conversion), and only the very large MCD Hummer body is 17 inches wide (still not 17.5).

The problem with the Hummer is that it is VERY large and long (I have one), so it will require very large shafts that will not stand up to the power needed to move such a large vehicle.

I can probably take some pics if that helps out.

Your best bet is to after a "buggy" look and use the FG or Baja buggy body.

Good luck.
