you were told that because they want your money i originally had a 13t with the 62t spur and i hated how big and noisey it was so i switched to a 46t kyosho plastic and love it, put a 10t on there at first but the motor hit the center brace, then put the 11t and it fits just fine. my buddy runs the same gearing on his crt with the spiral cut gears, it seems no different to me, i dunno the ratio that the spiral cut are, but they are not a necessity imo
