Brushless MGT - 05.11.2009, 04:02 PM

Hey guys, I have a MGT 8.0 that I made a Lexan motor mount for. I had the 1515 1y and the MMM, 6s 5000mah, and stock spur/20t pinion. Lasted me a good 8 minutes before my motor burned and my bevel gears shredded. Since then (a few months) it's just been sitting in my garage. I know there are a handful of people who even considered to make a MGT brushless, me being one of them. Looking to put a 1521 1.5d and keep the 6s and MMM. Wondering if the 1521 would be overkill? I dont think the 1515 was enough to push a 15lb+ truck with 40 series tires. Also need some insight on installing a CD and losing the tranny all together. Would this even be worth the trouble or should I scrap the project and get a Muggy maybe? I'm a little attached to the sucker as it was my 1st 1/8th and I like the layout and simplicity of it.
