you could try it with a strong hair dryer. put the shell on to the buggy. take the hair dryer to make the plastic soft, where you need it (carefully), then push the shell to the right position, wait until the shell cooled down. like that you have a fitting car shell.

it won't work of course when the batteries are far too high.
