Is this the servo you have?: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...rticle_id=1053

If that's the case I'd say you'll need to upgrade to a servo with more torque. It's rated for 208 oz-in, most people run 300+ oz-in for truggies. The Hitec 7955TG is somewhat of a "reference standard" for truggy servos, but there are plenty of others out there that will do the job. Savox are becoming very popular. Personally I use a Turnigy HV767 on 7.4V and it's a beast!
Me too. I really like that servo. Power and speed are pretty good even though I have it on dads Erevo with Axial oversized wheels and Big Joes tires. Even when I press the front of the truck down to the ground with my foot the steering moves just as fast as when it is off the ground. Also I am running it @ 8.2V via CC BEC. No issues what so ever. I believe the servo is a MKS rebranded to Turnigy. There are even rebuild gears from MKS that fit straight in. Going to fit one to my RC8T truggy as well.

With most 6V servos I have ran them with a 2S LiFe packs back in the nitro days with no real issues. The 2S LiFe pack is about 6.8V fully charged and my ACE1015 servos performed much better than with Ni-MH pack. I think that most decent servos can take about 0.5-1V above their 6V rating.
