Downsizing the LST2 - 07.28.2011, 03:19 AM

As I have two E-LST's, a XXL and a LST2, I wanted to do something different with the LST2. I also had some other stuff lying around: A Mamba Max Pro, Leopard 3674-1790kv and a 5s lipo....

I decided to put the MMpro in the LST2 along with the motor and the battery. As these trucks weigh > 6kg rtr I needed to save some weight. So I put some Losi Truggy wheels on. The truck is now 5kg rtr (my LST XXL is 6.2kg with a MMM&1520).

The truck is geared conservitavely, 30mph (23/63). Yesterday I had my second run, with the body off, and these were the highest temps I measured:
Motor: 65c / 149f
MMPRo: 45c / 113f (fan never kicked in)
Ambient: 20c / 68f

MMPro settings:
punch: 25
timing: 0
start power: medium
firmware: 1.24

Looks like the MMpro is doing very well in the downsized LST2, but the motor temps should go down a bit.

If I switch to 6s and gear for 32mph (22/66) I can probably get the amps down, but how will the higher voltage and rpm affect the temps on the motor and controller?
