I'm electronically stupid... - 04.14.2006, 07:39 PM

ok, so as for my thread title, believe it or not i am a avionics (electronics) technitian on military aircraft, but when it comes to measuring volts, amps, discharge rates, etc.etc.etc..... IM STUPID!!!! all im good at is removing and replacing, cutting/splicing/soldering, etc.

so basically what im saying, i now understand the hassle of NITRO, i love it, but i just want more FUN time instead of DOWN TIME, to work on this darn thing....

im still waiting on parts for my rustler going stampede, so i haven't even ordered motor or ESC yet... but how hard is it for someone as simple minded as me to get into all this, im a grease monkey, not a math/volt/amperage guru. i want to run brushless/LiPo or LiIon, with the LEAST of hassles....

any suggestions, also is this a direct attachment, or do any capacitors or resistors need to be soldered in anywhere?

i love my NITRO t-maxx, but i DO believe you all that i will love the brushless even more once i finally get it.....

my experience in the past month:
NITRO = 2-4 hrs work time / 15-30 min. play time = this sucks !!!

but i still love the sound/smell of the nitro engines.... what can i say, i've been around 2/4 stroke race bikes my whole life.... im a blue smoke junky so to speak
