no mods, if you just have $80 or so and don't know what to do with it, you could check out the Badlands MT tires. They are a bit taller and wider than the Bowtie MT tires and have a nasty looking tread pattern to them.

The only other tires that I really like are more geared for racing. If you do get the racing type of tires, like the Bowties, Crimefighters, or Holeshots (very application specific), be sure the get the "R" model. The "R" models of the tires have internal ribs and although they don't completely stop ballooning, they don't balloon nearly as much as the non ribbed tires.

Again, I don't want to start to sound like a broken record, but don't go dumping money into the truck trying to turn it into something that it isn't. If you want a "go fast" truck, many here like the HPI Lightning Stadium Pro. They are inexpensive and are decent trucks. If price is on object, I really like my 8ight a lot, and the CRT is a nice truck. Mike makes mounts for both of these.
