Nice video bro... you should definately send the catching fire part to Schulze.. my 18.129 went to them 4 time already.. each time I recieved it, it lasted shorter and shorter...

instead of a Lipo saver sac, they need a schulze sac.. :)

maybe someone should have started a wall of "shame" for every brand of esc years ago. how nice.
anyway those 3.5mm plugs to the motor are very sensible. i know of some people who just soldered the cables for the motor directly in the bushings. so there is no possiblity for loose contact again. of course that voids warranty. but there isn't any warranty anyway so who cares. :-)

did you have temp shut downs of the controller with this setup before the smoking situation? its a very hot setup. i guess its very much on the limit for the 18.97kw.
