hi

just to make it clear. i am not a schulze fan boy. the only thing i am stating is that i doubt that schulze controllers fail on systematically basis more often than other esc. but as there is no way to proof that or the contrary. so we have to leave it at subjective experience which is usually mixed. empirical data on this is simply missing and some posts in forums are of course not a reliable data basis.

anyway. back to topic. i would recommend to send the esc to schulze and see what happens. as there is quite a high probabillity that they offer you a new one with 35% discount you either buy a 18.97 again. then i would either reduce voltage to 4s or put a bigger fan on the esc or try to watercool it.
otherwise i would probably go with a quark monster pro as this esc works great with the plettenberg. you have to put some fans on this esc too.

are the mgm actually working with the plettenbergs?

bye
