Hey, and welcome to the forum, but I HIGHLY doubt a $550-600 budget will suffice with either the LSP or LS10. Especially if you don't have batteries, charger, etc. And to answer your question, no, the motor mount won't work on the LS10.

You can do a ls10 for your budget, they are only 189 on ultimate hobbies with free shipping. You can sell the motor for 60 to 80 bucks, keep the radio and servo for steering and have a spare servo. All you will need is a mamba max, a feigao l motor, and battery and a mod 1 pinion gear. I run mine on 4s lipo with a reciever pack and the mamba max bec disabled. You can use the mamba motors, but they are a little small, use the 4600 on 3s lipo would be the best bet, they tend to get hot though. You may also be able to use a traxxas velineon system, it is only $170. If you want pics of my setup, let me know. I do not think the lsp motor mount will fit hte ls10, but it is easy to make a mount. I just used a flat piece of carbon fiber and screwed it to the brake mount on the rear bulkhead.
