Make sure that the bottom gears are no in backards. You did put the two little shims back on the output shaft. Make sure that the slider has no burrs on it. If you just installed some new steel idlers. They make sound until the set in some times. When put together does the tranny spin freely. Check some of the bearing as well. Not sure what else to tell you to try.
