The stock plastic braces work just fine, but FLM is making a set of aluminum braces, though, which I will offer in a complete kit(chassis, braces, tranny, arms, bulkheads). The chassis holds up fine with the plastic braces to whatever you can throw at it.
I like the regular length ams myself. they are sized to allow the same front and rear wheels and allow use of any driveshaft that is designed for the pede(like cvds). The wider arms must use sliders, which would be a bit weaker when stretched out.
For shipping, for all the pede parts, the shipping won't exceed $7.70 to anywhere in the US. Most likely the cost would be under $6.
