Any ideas?
We just became aware of this length issue yesterday, from a comment on the Traxxxas E-Maxx forum. We have a new E-Maxx on order and will post updates concerning whatever re-designs to our HV motor will be necessary.

We were made aware (earlier) by Traxxxas of the rotor shaft diameter issue and are presently tooling up and testing a new 5mm shaft rotor and endbell assembly for our HV motor. I will check with our design team and post updates on the forums as more information becomes available.

I realize that many customers have our HV systems that were designed as a drop-in brushless replacement for the original E-Maxx. Novak is committed to a re-design that will make our HV motors compatible once again.
