Of course, I havn't looked at them both that closely so I can't say, but it's worth further investigation.

One thing I can darn well gaurantee, is that mega is NOTHING like your vxl, 5mm shaft or not.

I will second that, the vxl is a feigao clone, and about the same as a 10s feigao. it works fine in a 2wd 10th truck, and a pair look to be good in the new emaxx. I will say that the mega motors are nicely made.
