3S 8000mAh 20C = 1776 Watts, roughly... 75MPH..
9S 2100mAh 20C = 1400 watts... still should be enough to pass 70MPH... but Traxxas recommends 1700 Watts for 70MPH+..

The Power of BRUSHLESS!!!!!

Thanks aqwut, hoping my setup may be slightly more effecient than the vxl system. I do not think that will be an issue. I have a feeling that 70 mph will be plenty.

How is the weather up there? I hear that Poplar Bluff is floating at the moment. That sucks!

It should be crazy fast and almost uncontrollable.

I put a Cyclon 2000kv motor on 4S Lipo in a Rustler. That thing would wheelie at about 50mph. It was pretty crazy.

Yes, there's alot of flooding here. It's not good really. Alot of people are put out of their homes because of it. A town just North of here, (Cape Girardeau) got almost 14 inches of rain in 24 hours.

If you feel like taking a trip across the water I have a video camera and Zephyr Field has nice parking lot.

I like this idea. How much footage could you take? I have a few vehicles that I could run and having an experienced camera man would be nice, as I do not know anyone right now.

My camera uses some mini DVDs that are 1.4GBs. I think it takes about 30 mins to fill it up, but I'm sure the quality and frame size can be changed to lower setting to get more video. They are on the highest setting now because we had 20 min motos when I used to ride so I didn't need any longer.

I originally had 3 cell 8000mah pack and I Definately was NOT going 70 mph with my Rustler, Traxxas likes to inflate thier specs, but when I had the heavier 8000 pack the driveabilty was better

I never changed the gearing, your gearing is geared up from what is stock, and since I don't have a GPS or speedo I am not sure but 70mph seems to me should be faster.
