Could you also try using the controller's brake just to see if the issue on braking is gone?

My trans isn't locked so the motor brake won't work.

Is this something I could test just by seeing what the motor does when I use the motor brake? For example are you wanting me to see if it goes into reverse when I hit the brake?

The issue that I have when my controller is set for forward/brake only is when I apply the brake instead of braking it throttles up. The more throttle I give the stronger the throttle up is when I try to apply the brakes. It does this as well when forward/brake/reverse parameters are programmed too. I don't want you to break anything though.

It goes forward fine, but when you apply the brakes it accelarates forward instead of braking.

do you have another motor around? Try that to see if it clears up the problem, I had that happen and the motor was bad.

Also, try to auto-tune, but you may have already tried that.

The motor is not bad. I'm using it without an issue with my Sculze 40.160.

I have some news to you and all mgm users that have this issue, it accelerates when you try to brake, mine only did this in4 or more poles like neu or align 600xl...

This is my story:
- Problem 1: First I had a 12018 (3.14) that does glitch all the time (instant braking while accelerating or brake all the time).
- Solution 1: MGM changed it for a 9032 (3.21) (paying the difference :) )

second part:
- Problem 2: the new 9032 accelerates while I'm trying to brake, but as you know only with 4 or more pole motors, with feigaos the esc worked perfect.
- Solution 2: sended the 9032 with a align 600xl motor to MGM to show them the issues.

Today I have receibed my REPAIRED MGM 9032 (3.22), MGM told me by e-mail:
"Problem was in defective processor. Rare case"

so... its not the problem of radio, receiver, battery, connectors, motor, etc... it was a defective component of the esc, so...

lutach, you have to send it to them, tell them my case, because it seems to be the same problem. This esc seems to work ok, it brakes PERFECT with the align 600xl motor, feigao, and neu motors :) this is 3.22 firmware.

If you have any question let me know and I'll asq you.

This weekend I'll test it to see if it's perfect or don't work perfect.

Thank you. I will send them all then to get the new 3.22 firmware.

Do you know if the problem will be solved by just updating to the latest firmware? Or is everyone that has this problem [quote] "Problem was in defective processor. Rare case." I have just got my stuff back from MGM and don't feel like sending it away for a few more weeks.

Cheers Andrew

I just tested mine and I too was getting a surge when I went from throttle to brake. I then did the "AUTOTUNE" procedure and the problem went away. I then used my USB_Com and hit the default button to see if the problem came back, it didn't. I then tried a few different settings etc. to try and reproduce the "surge when braking" and couldn't reproduce it....
Not saying doing the "AUTOTUNE" will fix everyones problems but it maybe something for people to try before they send off their controls.

Cheers Andrew
