Those generic cases are awesome! I got one from the LHS I work at for like $10 that's about half that size - it's PERFECT for my Nomadio React radio. Looks like yours will be very handy
 .

Do you by chance know how to set up the 989 to charge two NiCd's? My serial adaptor is set up right, it just seems that I cant get the settings right to make it charge them together.
