I am in the same boat with spurs. I may try a steel one as I have it, just think that I may need it. I will run the 7.5" cen tires on mine, and think that the spur may take a beating.

The derin is holding up nicely. Very good upgrade from the stocker. Besides... I need a place to run all of my older pinion gears that artent hardened. Most of my trucks are running steel now, but I still have some older non-hardened pinins around that need to get used. This and my revo are the only trucks running plastic spurs that can use them.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Good to know. My stock chassis savage has been doing fine with the stock 49t plastic spur, but I have a feeling the heavier flm with the big wheels will need a better than stock spur.
