Chapito, can you comment a bit more on the quark 125b v.s the MMM

Can you comment on the start up of both?
Was the quark better for moving slow? (like 1-3 MPH)
and for racing, is there a difference between the two for startup?
and the brakes, how do they compare against each other

Thanks

With the current settings I have the Monster programed at, 20% punch control and default throttle curve, the Quark was smoother on initial startup; maybe .5 of a second. After that, I'd say the difference is virtually indiscernible. Braking is where the big difference is. I found my Quark to have very coarse adjustability on the brakes. They either worked too good or did nothing and were very hard to control in air to effect the truck's attitude. The Monster, on the other hand, has awesome brakes. Good feel and excellent control on dropping the nose to come in steep after high angle jump face launches.

Well, my Monster now has two successful races under it's belt and about an hour of total runtime. Absolutely no problems whatsoever to report. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to give it as hard a workout as I had planned. We ran the track dry so it was slip-n-slidesville and we only ran a 8 min. main. I did work the brakes a little more than at the first race with the same excellent results. Ambient temp. was higher as well; about 95degrees. The Monster temped at 115 degrees after the 8 min main, Neu @ 140 and batteries barely over 100. With all the failure reports, I'm still reluctant to spend too much coin traveling until the second batch is available and I have a backup but so far so good.

What gearing are you running?

Did you use BrianG's awesome speed calculator?
