I dont think you would fry it from the voltage. It might not boot up, but It probably wouldnt fry. It does use the same components as the MM, just less of them.
A 1/8 buggy on a sidewinder would be a no way. Not a chance and any voltage. Well... maybe if you geared it for 7 mph.
