Sensor wire extension? - 06.23.2008, 09:15 AM

Ok, so I have the novak HV system, and an extra half inch or so in the sensor wire length would be great. I would prefer to find an extension cable (instead of splicing and lengthening the wire). Does anyone know where I could find a extender? What about just the male/female connectors?
Thanks for any help

does anyone know where to purchase the male type connector (the plug on the ESC)?
Or does anyone know if the connector has a specific name?
AKA, I want to make (or buy) a short connector for a sensor wire and all I can find are extensions with the female ends. As I cannot unplug my sensor wire from my motor (direct soldered) and I do not want to cut the wires and extend the current sensor (not sure what that would do to the warranty).

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

Why you need sensors extention? How long your motors wires?

I find that every now and then when I remove the motor or ESC when I am changing something that I notice I am pulling on the wire alittle. I just though it might be nice to give it a little more slack.

Thats the only thing that really annoyed me, having a non-removeable sensor wire sticking out of the motor. Every other company with sensored motors has a plug on the esc, and the motor with a seperate cable.... meh...

CMCCLIVE,

What company in Minnesota has the extension? DO you have the website?

Tuclai,
I appologize if I mispoke, but I did not find a direct extention.
What I did find was the male end connector from:
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=455-1661-ND
It was like $1.90ish for 10 connectors, and $3-4 shipping I think.
I then purchased one of the female/female cables GriffinRU mentioned (either Novak or Orion). Cut it in half and soldered the male connector onto it.
If this seems to complex PM me as I could probably make one up for you inexpensively.
