Just bend the tabs to make them tighter and make sure to clean the gold side. I have maybe 30 sets of deans on chargers, batteries, vehicles, adapters, etc. Most are knocks offs. The only problems I've ever had was them getting loose. if you have some small needle nose pilers grab the tab and bend it up and curl it a little at the same time.

#1 Do you have a lot of heavy wire flopping around that can pull on the plugs due to momentum on a hard hit? If so, affix the wires so they can not move so much. Maybe strap the adapter into the car so it's not bouncing around on the air relying on the deans to hold it in place.
If it's all secure and the issue IS the plugs - Bending them can cause for a bad connection. Less surface contact. The best bet would be to replace them with new plugs if in fact the plugs are the problem.
