Looks like removing one of the vents will make a large enough hole to bring the wires strainght out off. Just slide the battery in place and then plug the bullet connectors into it... Hope it works, as I do not want to cut the chassis...

yes i would also be hesitant about cutting up a new chassis, but your idea sounds good and looks like it will work. I wish traxxas had made the compartments a little bit bigger to fit good 3s packs...oh well, maybey eventually they will come out with a chassis with larger ones. Im sure 4s will provide good power, but 6s would be awsome.
