I was wondering if the 1600 with lower gearing would be better in a heavier vehicle? That is what I plan to try in my hyper8. I am currently running a 1500 on 6s with 14/46 gearing. Thinking of going to the 1600 and running a 12-13t pinion. The 1500 was getting quite hot, but I have no heatsink on it and no cooling holes in the body.

If you do that, what are you going to do with the 1500?
