In this venture, I would be more inclined to go the neu route than lehner. If you have a problem, the lehner will take forever and a day to get fixed, the neu however will have a fairly quick turn around.

I agree - and sorta wondering a month later why I picked up the LMT motor - except for the fact that it is, well...... a LMT motor.

Thing is it falls right under 1000kv. So it needs a minimum of 8S lipo to just about hit 30k rpm. It would run great on 10S hitting close to 37k rpm.

I guess it will go into the toolbox for a while until the right ESC (maybe a 12s CC) comes out along with just the right truck.

Are you going to run mechanical brakes? Why not use a CC HV110 or similar?

At the moment this is all speculation - since I am currently living in a 1000sq ft condo in downtown Boston. I have no space for a 1/5 scale buggy and will end up being divorced 2 weeks after getting married if I ever brought something that big into the house.

Can't wait until I am out of the city again and have some space to play more.

I may run mech brakes, but I don't really race so it is nice to have forward and reverse at times.
