So 600 dollar for 2 LiPo's, thats cheap, compared what a 5000mAh 7,4V LiPo here in the Netherlands costs

"I've found that electrics stay a little cleaner"
Another reason to make a E-Baja! :D I always saw that nitro's/gas cars were dirtier than electrics, but never thought about it, well found! :P
where are you getting a 10kmah 5s pack for $299? do you have a link?

I will wait till coolrunnings has his E-Baja, so I can look which batteries he uses, what the topspeed is and so on..

Maybe I'll buy a 3s LiPo from maxamps, for in my Rustler VXL, just to try those batteries..

the general consensus is that the ratings are bogus and they are overpriced. check out the zippy-r, where a 4800 3s lipo is less than $60, 25C.

you can PM Lincpimp he he did extensive testing with Maxamps packs and he could share some info with you...I would go with Zippys or True RC packs if you want to go cheap, or if you have the money a pack with Enerland cells, (Polyquest, Flightpower/Trakpower/Thunderpower, Neu)

links

zippys
you want the "R" cells

True RC
