I have to agree with MTBikerTim. Converting a 1/5 gas is kinda pointless because your taking the fun out of running it. Dont get me wrong Im a huge nitro hater but gas is a whole nother story. Its easy to maintain, runs forever on a tank of gas, the sounds is awsome, smells great, alot of power and if you want a power upgrade you an always slap a bigger "cc" engine in it or a tuned pipe.

I'm going to have to agree as well. Gas has all of the benefits of nitro but without many of the drawbacks. I still prefer electric, but for the price to convert a Baja, I don't think it would really be worth it to me, because gas is already pretty great. If my engine ever explodes, maybe I'll give it a try, but I don't see that happening.
Good luck on your project though, I'm really interested in seeing how it will go. Maybe if it really outperforms the gas version I may just change my mind...
