I got it from a couple reliable sources that the Losi esc is made by hobbywing in china and the esc hardware design is basically a direct copy of the Novak circuts but with sensorless software.
This would not surprise me if true. If it is true I would imagine it won't be the smoothest ESC out there either.
I B.O.ed one from amain, My hobby fund is refreshed for the month so ill give it a shot, I was playing wth the speed-t esc yesterday I got in a trade, petty nice and smooth, hope it compaires
i'm getting the 2100kv motor for my 8ight....back ordered at amainhobbies...putting my neu in my muggy and getting rid of the 9xl...tired of the cogging....finally runs smooth with my neu....hope the losi's 2100kv motor is comparable to neu's 2200kv...
I ordered a 8ight-e today ;)
Losi recommends a 4s Lipo - will a 5s with stock gearing too fast for the race track ?
I hope to receive the car within 2 days in germany - stay tuned ...
Will a ds1015 servo fit into the buggy --- I will be prepared when I will receive the parcel ;)
tomorrow never dies, Ian Flemming taught us this, grab you camera and get back to the buggys LOL I must see this esc/motor now. Like my wife in a silk shirt heading out the door, nothing but sweet anticipation

Could be, no one has ran that motor or esc before to see how heat goes with them. I am running a 2050kv motor on 5s. Do you know what stock gearing it has?
