Ok, got the driveshaft fixed and made some changes to the setup.

I downloaded the updated firmware to the Monster. This is a MUST HAVE you guys. I believe it makes the Monster run cooler. The fan didn't even come on with 4S during the run this morning. Cooler temps mean better effeciency, not counting the fact that the Monster Lives!

Gearing change! I went from the 22/40 Mod 1 gearing to 18/40 Mod 1. This is the lowest Mod 1 gearing that the Revo Motor mount will allow. (without serious modification)

This gearing is the sweet spot. On 4S, The Monster fan never cycled. Motor temp might have gotten up to 90 degrees, ambient 50 degrees. Lipos might have been 95 after the run. The run was alot of fun and lasted 23 minutes on 5000mah 20C 4S.

On 6S, temps are now in hand with the single fan/heat sink. Motor temps might have gotten up to 140 degrees. I can live with that.
The Monsters fan did cycle on and off occasionally, but it did not run all the time.
Rolling wheelies, Tire ballooning, ALOT of power. It's not hard to lose control. I seen several flips that were outrageous. Short grass and a loose gravel road. It's amazing to me how far this thing will throw gravel. LOL

Nothing broke, driveshafts held up well. I think the weak links have been eliminated now. This run was amazingly fun and lasted 35 minutes. I didn't take it easy on it either.

Update:

I have changed this setup somewhat. I switched to the Medusa 36-60-2000kv motor. Also changed the gearing to 18/52 Mod 1.

It's still VERY powerful and torquey. I'm mainly running 4S now.

I just tossed my 4th front driveshaft. The rear driveshafts are still the originals.

I believe this is happening when the truck is WOT, front wheels in the air, and I tap the brakes.

Brakes are set at 30%, but they are still more than enough. Just turned down enough to keep the truck from flipping over the nose when applied.

I am now considering cvd's. I like the Traxxas CVD's, but who makes center cvds for the E Revo?
