AH YES, that is the TVS -- or Transient Voltage Suppressor.

That is a sacrificial part that will shut down the BEC output if the voltage exceeds about 7.5V out on the BEC. (That's a new part on the V3 -- and it's a little fragile where it is mounted. We are moving it slightly on the next revision of the control board. And no, that DOESN'T mean there is a V4 MMM (internally, we are on rev H on the MMM I think....)

So -- not something that is required for normal running, but would be nice to have on the board if the BEC shorted out.

WOW, again Patrick thanks. i dont know what else to say. not really sure what happened, but here is a picture of the happiest girl on earth at the "track" withy "daddy car"
