Sorry Rocket, I forgot to mention that I was only running 4S when I smoked it . It was a V2 that was only run on the new firmware.

hmmmmm.....well, with higher voltage, you ought to have smaller voltage spikes, maybe it would be ok.

at the same time, if the motor does draw a bit more amps than the 1Y, it might be bad for my batteries as i don't run awsome packs in my 6s combos (20C is about the best C rating i use).

i know my thunderpower packs could handle it, but i would either be running 4S or 8S and then i'd be over volting my motor.

my 1Y is very kind to my maxamps packs.
