I've watched a few converted 1/8ths run and some, not all suffer with the battery on one side.
Why not split it side to side like I did, plenty of room and balance is better. It makes no sense to put it all to one side when you can see there is enough room to balance things out and have plenty enough room for many motor options. 80mm cans no problem with my layout.
