BTW I stink at mah/time figuring, but how long would a 2S 4900 take to charge at 12 amps?

Why would you charge it at that? Should never charge over 1c which in your case would be 4.9 amps.

I run a ps from my superbrain 989 and I charge two 2s 8k lipos at 8 amps a piece with ease.
