And that would be difficult at best. Forced induction doesn't work all that well with 2 stroke engines, and for the cost to power ratio, you could just get a better engine. And fule injection would really complicate setups I would think.
Really, I think the only reason why nitros became popular in the first place was because back in the day where NiCDs/mech speed controls/brushed motors were the norm, nitro was the only way to get serious affordable power in an RC. With highly efficient and powerful brushless motors/ESCs, and better battery technology in the market, the power advantage is shifted the other way. And the only argument the nitro guys can come up with is the "realism" factor and smell, both irrelevant to me.
There's nothing better than having a little toy go from 0-60 in like 3-5 seconds and the only noise is the whine of the motor and gears. Now, if they had the low growl that muscle cars have, maybe I'd try that...
Just yesterday I was at the LHS and some guy spent literally 1/2 hour trying to get his Revo started outside. By that time, I would have already played through a pack or two.
