Thanks bro this is what I wanted to here, now I can get a couple. I run all my 1/8 scale toys on 5s with 1700kv 1515 2.5d motors so I'm sure I will be fine. PS one more thing...how can you tell your buying a v3? I only ask cause theres a certain rc boat dealer that claims he has the v3's but he is also a congenital liar and I want to make sure I'm getting what he's promising.

So my numbers were a little short , last number I heard for sure was 3k+ so that's what I used......

I think all things considered a .2% failure rate i phenomenal!

Glad to help. George answered the question pretty well except I also think the battery leads are now soldered to the board on the V3 versus having the bullet connectors. The motor leads are still bullets though.

Watch out for C.F., wouldn't trust him any further than I could throw him and that' probably too much trust!

Take the easy way out, buy it from Mike instead The V3s have a blue PCB (on the brain board, IIRC the FETs are all on a green PCB) and the case is a little larger than the older ones. I don't have measurements on the new ones though. If there is noticeable space between the fan blades and the case it should be a V3. CC told us that they stopped putting power switches on them and they are now direct-soldering the power wires to the PCB so that could help with identifying it as well.

I just bought one from Mike, should be here Friday or Saturday I've got a fair bit of experience with CC products, so I have no problem spending $160 on a MMM. IF it fails I know they've got my back

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.
