From what I gathered (and my reading comprehension is 100%) the slow charge of the caps can cause issues if the speedo is switched on...

Good point, I hope Patrick or Joe can jump on here and provide some guidance because my TRX connectors have pitted before and I expect it will happen my new MMM setup.
