What Glue for stator magnets?

Has anyone ever seen a Pletty Maxx Rotor with the kevlar removed?

The Pletty Max is a 4 pole motor using 12 magnets that are 5mm wide, 30mm long and each is about 1.5mm thick. Pole configuration is NNN-SSS-NNN-SSS, making it a 4 pole motor. I'm thinking about replacing these magnets with some N50 magnets. Then replacing the Kevlar Wrap.

Think it would be possible to reconfigure the magnets it has in a NN-SS-NN-SS-NN-SS to make it a 6 pole motor? Or maybe make it a 2 pole?

Yes, but that would require changing the winding configuration also.

I'll go back as a 4 pole since the winding I have is good.

I wonder what strength the magnets are in a Pletty from the factory? I've read several places about demagnetized rotors.

When I cracked the rotor on my motor, I tried JB weld, and it did not hold. I used isopropal alcohol to clean everything really good and wrapped the rotor in kevlar, but no luck.







I tried a bunch of different glues, even red locktight, but eventually shorted out the windings so I now have a nice paperweight
