I'm glad you found a good use for your old maxamps...

It would probably last longer per charge not only because it is more mah but also because it's designed to discharge so slow.

mah is mah, does not matter what the discharge rate is. It is not designed to discharge slowly(you cannot design that), it is just incapable of discharging quickly...

I do agree that he could pick up 300mah worth of capacity, but he will also have a one use battery, he can always take the pack out of the radio and use it in a mini if he wants... I like having lipos that will do a few tasks. I have a 18c 3s 2500 mah lipo in my m8, just cause it fit and I already had it...

As long as they stay balanced better than mine are that's a good use for them. Mine are getting the .223 treatment though
