Any idea if the 3674 2350Kv ezrun motors are 2 or 4 poles?

What about the KD36 range of brushless motors? Are they 4 poles motors?

Oh and the KB45 brushless motors? Any idea if they are 2 or 4 poles motors?

Hi, but somewhere on the net I've seen a pic of a 2350kv (ezrun motor) with some sort of carbon wrapping around the magnets. Did I see wrongly?

What about the 44mm diameter ezrun motor? is it a 2 pole as well?

The KB 45 motors are also 2 pole!

I want a look inside the HW motors myself. My buddy wants a budget buffy system, so he may get the HW80 and one of the motors, probably the longer model, should handle the heat better?

Seems like the difference between a L can and XL can feigao... Similar KV and the longer can will draw a bit more, but run cooler and thus more efficiently. So the amp draw ends up about the same... But the longer motor can run longer and will put out a bit more power.

I run the 2350 kv model in my emaxx with a HW150A. The first one i blew up in 5 minutes of runtime, probably a mounting mistake. I may have used mounting screws that were too long and that bent the inner wire wich in their turn shorted with the magnet. Or just a production failure :)

Anyway I got a new motor from HW (GREAT service) en used shorter mounting screws. I had three runs up to now. One to test if everything works and two runs at full power. Constant high speedruns/full throttle in a park on long grass. I use a 21/62 gearing and 2X 2s2p 5100maH 25C lipo packs. The runtime was 13 minutes. the motor didn't get warmer then 51 degrees centigrade. This is with a heatsink and fan. The lipo got handwarm as did the ESC.
I think it's a great motor for bashing and it's a cheap setup. For racing I will use a medusa
