i got a speed passions motor and esc...the esc has wires on it the motor does not how do i connect it...do they make connectors???i dont trust myself to solder it to close of a space ...i'm affraid of messing up
I agree. Go to radio shack and pick up a soldering iron and a few "learn to solder kits". They've got an AM radio, FM crystal radio, and a few others that will be very helpful for a beginner.
You gotta know how to solder, otherwise, someone you know is going to be annoyed anytime you need work done.
ABSOLUTELY TRUE. It's okay at first, but LHS employees will get quite tired of this after a while (unless you tip...). First-hand experience here.
I feel your pain, and I never actually worked at the lhs. God knows how many traxxas to tamiya charge adapters I made, and I must have put on 10 dozen deans plugs on stick packs. People would leave stuff at the lhs just for me to solder when I went up there to get parts... At least the owner gave me good deals...
That's why it was suggested he do practice soldering first. No one was suggesting he do his first solder job ever and/or learn on his esc.
Easiest thing to do is get some scrap wire and some scrap metal pieces and go to town. Having some vice grips is also very helpful. The second hands tool or whatever it's called that radio sells would be another good purchase.
