Alright, thanks guys, guess it's back to the shimming the 3.3 diffs with aluminum housing/cups...

Al housings (case) will help with the ring and pinion stripping, as long as you shim correctly. Al cups will help if you have issues with the diff internals. Given the 2 spider design and the power level, al cups are mandatory to help the spider gears survive. The single crosspin in the diff takes all of the truck's load if both tires have equal traction, that is why the pin wears the plastic cups.

You have quite a few options if you stick with the 3.3 diffs. The 3905 diffs are different and there are no as many companies making parts. Plus you may be able to find some 3.3 cases and cups used, not like they will wear out.
