Those filters are made for carburated engines that suck air in, not ESC's that rely in airflow over the heatsink to remain cool. It's completely different dynamics and physics involved. They simply do not allow for enough airflow to pass the required air over the heatsink to keep it adequately cool. The little fan on MMM does not have enough power to pull the necessary air through that prefilter.
