only 2700kv? Big G...the CRT may be a tank, but that 1.5D is a monster of a motor.

Using the TP 40c 3S on it is almost useless speed. The motor gets hot not from trying to power the truggy, but from all the wheel spin that's going on.

On 4S, that motor is absolutely ridiculous. The tires'll get almost as big as a paper plate from all the power. Run it more than three times and the foam inside the fronts is torn into three different sections. The duct tape I put on the inside of the tires ends up tearing.

That's not to mention all the damage it's done to the drive train. I've blown out an o-ring on the center diff, had to replace the center diff gears once already, rear diff gears are about to give up the ghost, blew the bearings on the front right wheel, bent the center universal drive shafts about 6 times already, bent the front three times and bent the CVD's at least twice.

I love the speed I have with this motor...but damnit if she isn't making me pay for my avarice.

Hmm, I find that strange that you are feeling disappointed over the G3's... everything I have read, what RCM Mike has mentioned about them, and my personal experience with them says otherwise. In fact, a guy at the track said when I swapped packs (@ roughly 50% DOD) from an enerland pack to the G3 pack, he thought I had a larger pack in the truck, like more cells, judging by the straight line power. I love these packs. I love em, I love em, I love em.

If they turn out to really deliver on their 4x cycle claim, then they are just super duper.

I guess it might just be me, then. They perform a little better than the NeuEnergy 25/50c, but it doesn't seem like it's all that. I dunno...maybe I'm just spoiled with the smaller spur of the buggy and the TP 40c pack.

Then again, at 65c burst, the G3 is down 15c to the TP's 80c. Or, according to the rclipos website, 42.5 amps compared to the TP. The 5000mAh 3S pack is supposedly putting out 400amp bursts. The 5500mAh G3 3S pack is only putting out 357.5amps.

I'd say that both companies are pretty much rating their batteries accurately. The difference between the packs is noticeable...most especially the battery temps. The TP pack is barely breaking a sweat when I use it.

If you really like 'em and you think you have a use for the G3 3S packs, lemme know.
