I completely agree.I run a Neu 1512/2d (2550kv) on 4s which puts my rpm at just shy of 38000 rpm and love it. When geared down it has tons of snap and the ESC is seeing enough motor revs per mph so cogging is nonexistent at any speed. Yo0u may find the motor getting warm if you wind it out at top speed and keep it there though, so just play with gearing.

Or, since the motor is new and unused, see if they will swap it out for a lower kv. Explain the misunderstanding and see what they say.

Ok, thanks guy's, I will play with it before I decide my next move. Would have been nice to screenshot that original chart, but who would have thought. BrianG, the speed calc shows 1350 for the 2y, I guess it's 1380 now, and there's another one showing 1500 that Neu is showing 1475. Not much of a difference, just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks again.

Well I'm happy to report that whatever kv the motor is it is perfect. Probably the best setup I have ever ran. Motor temps were 125 degrees, battery and esc were warm at best. It has plenty of bottom and plenty of top and run time was right at 20 minutes with a 3600mah 6s pack.
