also are you using a metal spur? cause when i used a metal spur the same thing happened to me.

Yep... Just lost my 14 tooth last week... the motor had a very slight movement with the mount and I was using a metal spur... The guys above are correct,
there must be some misalignment for that kind of damage to happen to the pinion.

Is Impact from a jump, allowing the weight of the motor to flex the mount?

This would cause some misalignment also.

This is what happened when I bent mine. I nosed into the ground and the momentum from the motor bent the mount. To fix mine I clamped the mount in a wood vise. You'll need to be careful and need to have a good idea of where the bend line is. Clamp along the bend line with the motor side in the vise and the bearing/diff side out where you can tap on it. I used the side of a pair of Klein line-man pliers to tap the mount back into shape. Didn't use much force, about as much as I'd knock on a door with. Take the mount out of the vise and place on a flat surface to judge how flat it is. I used the flat surface on the back side of a metal vise.

Before I started I thought my method would be too crude to work. But the mount wasn't doing me any good bent and it would beat buying another one if it worked.

yip,am using the factory spur from the mbx5t prospec.is there a plastic equivilant?
