I did a 1/8 onroad conversion with the Mayhem buggy.
It cost me under $100.

-OFna GTP front bumper on ebay $7
-OFna Foam for bumper $8
-OFna body mounting set $10
-Kyosho inferno gt painted body $50
total $75
Get the real good tires Impanema 50. Excellent for out door Black top on road track.
Will last you the whole summer or if not longer.
