What about mopeds in the UK?

They arent even street legal- private land/ off road only ( that goes for electric of petrol/gas powered ones ).

One day things might change, what with electric power becoming more common place, but at the moment alot of electric bikes and scooters are seen as 'toys', requiring no license or insurance, so the powers that be decided to limit their legal top speed on the roads to reduce the likelihood of accidents.

I wouldnt mind an E-quad myself, or an E-trike even...

I was quite surprised that he's actually allowed to ride that thing on the road and highway. the folks at the transport departments aren't that relaxed here in Germany. you can't compare it e.g. with the states or Australia.
nevertheless, he got that licence plate. It's more a motorbike then a bicylce, I guess. that stealth bike looks cool, too.
